HID's
i bought my 2011 mustang thinking that it had hids but it doesnt. now im wondering should i get ford to install them or is there a better way. because i would prefer not to void warranty. o and how much do u think they cost? anyone?

if you get the ones from ford your looking at 600 plus labor i think, they could have to change the housings for the projector beams.
putting hids in wont void any warranty its like changing the bulbs, you may need a cancellation kit for the electric wave signal to the bulbs now, i had to do it to my dads charger
oh also aim the lights a bit down if you do that

I know around here I have seen quite a few people with the aftermarket kits and they are very problematic for them especially when it gets cold. It seems like every one that I see driving around town always has one light burnt out. If I were you I would go with the factory stuff if you can. I don't the standard lights are too bad but I guess it depends how much night driving you really do.

installing hids are fairly simple. its just an easy plug and play for most cars. when you buy the kit it should come with everything you need to complete the install. bought mine for 100 bucks and installed them in less than 20 mins. haven't had a problem yet with either the bulbs or ballasts.

I am getting mine done this spring, once it is safe to pull it out of the garage, which will probably be like June here in Saskatchewan
Anyway, it will be done at the dealership, as it will be factory replacement HID system. Any problems, they can deal with it.
