I've never experienced that or heard of it happening to anyone else. Is it the original hood?

Was it shut tight for sure. Maybe the latch needs to be adjusted?!

It is known that the 05-09 cars hoods will lift a bit at speed but it shouldn't come open. You can adjust the height of the hood but I doubt the wind ripped it open.

If it was an aftermarket fiberglass hood I'd say "totally normal - get a hood pin kit" but that should just not happen with a factory hood. I'd get it looked at.

I've not heard of a hood coming open either, but here is my solution to the potential problem.

I had a hood fly up on me once (not a Mustang), after some front-end repair work was done. The latch wasn't set right. Damaged the hood when it folded back. Had to go back to the shop. Anyway, pretty scary event, especially on the 401 when you can't just pull over immediately.

I like the looks of those cervini hood locks...anyone got them?
