How many of you think about selling your stangs?
As of lately it's been real hardcore for me???!!!
Things that keep running threw my mind to do so is i'm paying insurance on a car i barelly have time to drive anymore, the cost of fuel is fn' nuts, can't take the family of 5 out in it, part of the reason it sits all the time, and my interest in the hobby seems to be fading away. The thought of only having one vehicle to take care of is starting to sound more what i want now these days, and would be much cheaper in the pocket book.
I've been considering of either seeing what i could get for both my '06 F150, and '03 GT as a trade in with a dealership i am really good with to get me in a nicely upgraded 4X4 supercrew F150, or part the GT out some to get it close to stock to sale, plus trade the F150 in.
So confused considering this is all i know. Been modding cars/ trucks since i was 18, and have not taken a breather in between at all. I also think it would drive me nuts not seeing my GT in the empty garage!!!??!!

^^ The thought has crossed my mind, again and again. The Mustang sits a lot. I've only driven it 800 km this seaon. But I can't bring myself to sell the Mustang. It's paid for. I've had it forever and I can't help but think once all the kids are grown up I'll start enjoying it more again. Even if it turns into a weekend track car, and thats it - at least I'm having fun with it.

Right now its my hobby and wont give it up.Suppose if I still had young kids at home it would be different.Living alone with no one to answer to kinda makes it an easier choice for me

See VAEM, you are in the same spot as i am, but for some reason you are staying focus, where i'm not LMAO!!
I'm not going to make any jump yet. Got the winter to think about it, and to see what my options are at the same time.
You are right. It's paid for, so it owes me nothing, and that runs threw my head aswell. So far my GT is the only car i have had this long,...... going on 10 years, i usually change up every 5 to 6 years.
I know my daughter is tired of hearing me talk to the wify about it right now LOL! She has an attachment to the GT. Her, and i have done many show n shines, cruise nights, drag days, cruises as i liked to include my little spawn, now 10 years old, in all those things i found important in my life as hot rodding has been my passion since i layed hands on a hot wheel as child.
We will see i guess. Winter could change how i feel.

I say sit on it over the winter and if it still seems like the thing to do I say go for it but I am guessing taking the winter to get some of this years' bad taste out and you will be happy to fire it up in the spring. I think you are getting bored cause you didn't track it since the "incident". Maybe a 12 sec slip will bring you joy Jay?

Don't do it bro, you may regret it bad. If you HAD to sell it for a financial reason than so be it but I wouldn't do it. JMO

I barely drive mine also, but when i do I enjoy every minute of it. As long as my wife isn't bugging me to get rid of them I'll keep them. My son is looking forward to driving my 05 also. You hear too many stories of people regretting selling them after the fact.

You need to do what makes you feel right. If the heart isn't in it any more, then you should move onto something new.... You get a new F150 and then there will be modding done on it to make it your own. I just purchased a 13 sting, and i have loved stangs all my life and wanted one for ever, but now that i have one, I am thinking that i should have gotten a f150 eco boost and modded that as it is easier to carry the family around and more practical in the winter time. Don't get me wrong, I love this machine and it feels great to drive and kids fit in it, but the truck would be a better idea.

So after this long winded answer, I think you need to follow your heart/feeling and do what you need to do for you and your family. If you are better suited to get a new f150, I think you will come out better if you part out the GT aftermarket stuff and trade in as stock as possible. You will come out ahead better in my books i think.

Tough choice dude, I can see both sides. Tough to sink all that cash into it and then take a beating on the re-sale, but why keep paying cash out if you never drive it and it's just sitting there making you feel like crap every time you walk by ? Cut the losses and I'm betting if you're in a new F150, touring around with the whole family in comfort, you won't feel so bad about selling the car. You can scoop up an F150 for stupid cheap these days, so if you feel bad about selling the car, get one with some options you wouldn't normally get. Hell, buy one of those badass Raptors for that matter, and get the best of the truck world and the Mustang world !! lol Truth is, yah you sunk a lot of time and effort into it, but there's always another one out there that you can build up in the future, you gotta get past the emotional attachment ( these are just cars right ?) and be practical, because it's costing you money, and obviously bothering you. Things change, and it's no shame to lose interest and move on to something new. Parting it out is a bad idea, and not to be negative, but I'm not sure dealers would be interested, or appreciate, a heavily modded car, remember they're dealing with the average Joe driver, who knows nothing about mods. Good luck bro, I'd say go for the F150.

I have never really felt the oh oh after getting rid of the toys as there are always more out there. Paid for or not does not matter to me.
