Nice in did it is,would i like one,of coarse, will i go out and buy one, hell no.Do to the possible price, insurance (i could imagine already) alone tells me no ,and the fact that i don't need every new stang that comes out .Why keep modding a stang just to dump it for they next new one that comes out :bleh: .Don't make sence to me :bduh: .Now if i won the lottery,i would put my name down for one,but i would still keep my GT,because that is what i wanted in the first place. :)

cause its a hobby...its no different then any hobby, why does a guy into remote control cars upgrade al his parts, then sell them and buy a better one.
We are always looking for somthing better, I think most would agree we dont have the perfect set up, and personaly I'm going to keep looking until I find one...thats the fun in it, and if buying a newer model gets me closer to what I'm looking for so be it.

plus I admit I'm addicted to new car smell... :laughhard

I too am a modaholic. Case in point, my Bullitt. 14 second factory car that runs 11 sec. passes all day long. I don't plan on leaving this car stock either. At the very least it will have a pulley change, program, and exhaust. Then who knows.....

My position on the '07 is more about self-control than anything else.

I already have a $60+k hot-rod that I barely drive...and it was only a $30k car to begin with.

The last thing I need is to start with one that cost $60k to begin with.

kaylan1521 10-24-2005 09:05 AM

What I'm hearing if the exchange rate stays the same is a high 40's to low 50's car. That being the case you'd still have mod money if you figured 60k just for the car. :chacha: :tup

I really want one. I want to START with 500hp this time. The thing about it is that I've turned around and started to get really smart with my car spending habits and just about the time they come out, is when my good habits will have really paid off, so like Tim said, it's all about self-control. One thing is for sure, If if do break down and go for it, it'll be when someone else can't afford it and needs to get rid of it rather than all that tax, and other 10k worth of BS I've eaten on so many cars before. If that doesn't happen, I'm still digging an 03/04 Terminator vert which will have really come down in price by then.

Was just my opinion  .And you said it,it's a hobby, some build a car for the love to build a car, then get board, and sell to build another, while some build to keep, but not to have the next new thing on the block...i would think. But bying a new car everytime a new one comes out is a person's thing, great for that individual.
I would like to see in the future on how much that person spent on a brand new car with trade in,or not for everytime a new model came out.
All i got to say is,if they got lots of money to through away, hey through it my way  .

I bought the Bullitt in 01. Kept it through the two years of the Mach's and the 03/04 Cobra. I was jerked the Mach got the 4 valve and the Bullitt didn't, so instead of trading the Bullitt I just modded it. Now that it's as far as I want to go with it and it's paid off I got the itch again.

I did want to build a dedicated track car, probably a fox body and I went so far as to look at a couple when my wife informed me that she'd rather I buy a new one than build one. At least the new route meant I could drive it whenever I want to rather than trailer to track, rip half a dozen passes and then back in the garage taking up space.

How could I argue with her logic? Only thing I said was that I wanted something different. Only thing coming up was the GT500.

And that's my story. the Bullitt stays put and we will put a lift in the garage to accomodate everything. :tup

HyperGT 10-28-2005 09:25 AM

Well, I love the car but priorities change in life. I just spent more on a house than i ever thought I would, and would like to increase my net worth as opposed to spending huge amounts on the car "pit", and cars are just toys. Maybe in a few years, but i dont have that need to have the newest one out their. In fact I still really like the fox bodies the best. And my car is still much faster than the 07 :)
