I had a bit of a Scare

So around 3am, My girlfriend wakes me and tells me to go with her. I get out of bed and groggley head to the front window.

Now I keep my car under a cover:

So I was shocked when I looked out the window and the car was half uncovered. I put on some clothes and went outside.

There was no way this was the wind. This cover is a snug fit and I dont think the wind can blow it off. This was rolled and not loose.

The car has an alarm but I didn't hear it go off. I know its ghetto but I have "The Club" on the steering wheel as well.

The cover was rolled up to the windsheild. The mirrors still in their pockets. I didn't see any scratches or Keyed paint and the car was still in my driveway... Soo either the club did its job and detered a would be thief, or some one just wanted a look-see.

Either way I couldn't go back to sleep

Oh man, that would freak me out too, and no doubt you couldn't go back to sleep! Just glad there were no scratches or anything.

I would have been waiting up every night for a week if that happened to me.

^^^ Danm, now I have too!!

@DulbDee Because the car was still in the drivway, scratches and damage was my major worry.

After I saw that everything was okay my next thought was ..."oh man now I have to wash her again!" It was raining and now I will have water spots!

I'd invest in a video camera to record who's messing with your ride. Hopefully they don't come back, but if they do .......

Good to see nothing happened. In my opinion, a nice car left outside under a cover is asking for trouble. Just my opinion though.
When use to live in a apartment building, i just left my car as is outside in the open with "the club" on the steering wheel, and "the autolock" on the brake pedal. Did this for two summers, and was lucky nothing ever happened.

Your a lucky guy,it could of been worst!Ive been thinking of getting the club also.My stang is always parked indoors but thieves will do anything to steal a nice ride.So the extra safety is a plus..

Aside from a concrete, bomb proof bunker, there's only so much you can do. It's a car dude, there's a million out there, and if someone wants into yours bad enough, a hammer will defeat any sort of security or alarm. Glad to hear nothing happened, but you do know some people are dicks, and do that sort of thing on purpose because they know it will drive you mental ??? Looks like it worked.

Ya your right, I've done some stupid things when I was young, I think this was just some punk messing around. Nothing has happened since.
