I have only ever sold 1 car privately that being my 82 Grand Prix back in 90. Every car since and there have been many have been traded. Now my question, if I trade it in I suspect I may get 35,000.00 which with the tax thingy gets me approx 37,000.00 towards the new boss. I don't think I could get much more than 37,000.00 on the open market. Am I on glue?

 

Well low mileage is on your side lol. I`d say 35-40k is an accurate estimated value. You`ll get more for it as a private sale then as a trade for sure. There aren`t a lot of GT500`s on the market in Alberta right now but the few 07-09`s for sale are priced right in that range and most have more km`s than yours.

 

Don't sell yourself short on price dude, there's cars on the showroom floor that don't look as good or were treated as good as Kleeeen.

Prices seem a lot higher in your area, much lower in Newfoundland maybe because there are so many around?? On lot night it's not uncommon to have 8-9 Shelby's lined up... A friend always states "Shelby's are a dime a dozen around here"
4 are currently listed locally 08 coupe $33k, 09 coupe $39k, 08 coupe $36k and 09 vert $39k I know of several others that were listed this summer for a little higher....

 

If I sold I think the 45k would scare most away or they might think I am on good stuff. If I was to sell privately I might advertise 40k tops. Usually I am in a hurry when I trade in a car and it's paid for so if I got 38k it would be all mine for the 10 minutes until I bought the next one
