My comment was more directed to Apocalypse Pony's inference that maybe they took the profits and put them in their own pockets. Usually the final profit/loss isn't known until some time after the event when all the final bills are in. Car shows of this size are difficult to budget for because many people don't register until the last minute. Small clubs also don't often have the financial resources to cover a shortfall if last minute registrations don't materialize due to bad weather etc. I think we should give the Central Ford guys some time to tally the final numbers and see where things settle out.

I wasn't actually inferring anything old chap, it was a legit question. I have no idea who put on the event, whether it was a specific club or a dealership or what - read way more into my post than what was there. If I thought someone was shoving the profits into their pockets, I would have said so, but thanks for reading into it and climbing up onto the podium!

So in other words you had no clue who or what you were talking about but commented anyway.

On another note this Wed looks like a washout again. This is an easy way to keep my k's down and this makes me so happy.

Nice try, but I'm not interested in taking the bait smartass. Try actually reading my post again, instead of looking for a spot to showcase your wit and sarcasm. I said it was a legit question and it was, but if you're in charge of determining what's supposed to be posted, let me know and I'll submit my posts to you first so you can censor them and approve them for content.

That's the point - it was not a legit question - especially from someone who has no idea what the show was even about, how it was organized, or by who. For one thing it assumes that there was cash left over to even go into a pocket - an assumption that requires a good bit of data to prove one way or the other. That data likely isn't even available yet. Face it - you made a smartass comment about something you had no clue about. If you can't handle getting called on it maybe you should think before you type.

Sure it was legit - just because you personally didn't think so doesn't mean it wasn't. Feel free to call me on whatever you want, that's the whole idea here, and as far as smartass comments go, that's pretty much the pot calling the kettle black. You obviously have no interest in any view but your own, and just because you took offense to my simple question, you start getting all snotty about it.

If the money didn't go to charity, who did it go to? was the original question, with no strings attached or any implication of a conspiracy theory. Grow up dude, I'm going to move on, I'd suggest you do the same. It's all good here, and I forgive you for your attitude - no hard feelings and I apologize for your misunderstanding.

I think the dialogue stands on its own. Anyone that reads this thread can make up their own mind.
