Just picked up my new baby on Saturday! '08 Mustang Coupe Pony Vista Blue

Does anyone have suggestions on where to put my iPod while driving that easily accessible? (not using the vent or drink cup holder)

I'm not a fan of the holders that mount to the vent for a couple of reasons. Mostly airflow, heat exposure to the iPod in the winter and potential damage to the vent itself.
