Cold Air Intake is a good idea, but K&N's are JUNK!!!! you have a MAF, switch to a AMSOil Air filter they have no oil on there filters and are by far the best.

As for the tuner, it really comes down to personal preference. Check out the home site for each tuner, and see what features/adjustments each one offers.

I went with the Xcal. It seems to be a pretty popular choice.
Exactly.
You only need a tune if the maf size is different than stock.

Even if the maf is the same size a tune can still be beneficial for hp if you go from an 87 octane (stock) tune and go with a 91+ octane tune.

My favourite cai so far is the Bullit cai intake becuase it looks like a stock piece but at $700 it is not at the top of my list.
It is good for 15-20 hp depending on the octane tune.

I got a K&N CAI for my '06 GT... Installed it... Didn't like the sound one bit... Took it off, put it back in the box and to this day that's where it sits... Right next door to the exhaust I have but will not install until after the warranty runs out..!

When that fateful day arrives I will look at a Vortech SC... Not until..!

I like my K&N CAI. Nice sound, seat of the pants seems more responsive and better mileage down to 7.5 L per 100k at 80 KPM.
