So I've had this stang for 2 years now. shes been one hell of a project for me. last year i was driving and it got hit because some ass in a ranger doesn't know how to drive. This car used to be a 4cyl but i changed it over to a 5.0 its been my toy for awhile now. But lately I'm not sure what to do with it. My question is has anyone ever replaced a rear quarter on one of these cars. and if so how hard was it for you? One other thing is would you just buy a 4cyl car and switch it all over. The only reason i haven't let got of this car is because there is absolutely no rust underneath this car, and the interior is mint. here's some pics of the dented quarter.

I am no expert but that does not look all that terrible

Glad to hear that lol

Doesn't look too bad to me but I'm not a body man

I'm no body man either, but I do know from personal experience that there is often non-visible damage that adds up pretty quick.

I'd say repair it. It doesn't look too bad.

Okk thanks

SNAKEBITE 01-29-2012 04:10 PM

it does not seem to have any deep dents in my mind

There not as deep as they used to be but it's hard to pull out. And the lip all around the tire is pretty much flat

It's definetly going to be some work to fix up the body - but probably much less labour than a full engine swap into another fox. AND this car is clean - inside and out. I'd definetly keep what you've got and work with it. Just be weary of Ford Rangers from here on in. ;)
