Loss of acceleration in 2nd gear suddenly.

hey everyone, own a supercharged 2003 mustang Gt and after I accelerated from first to second the car just lost power while trying to accelerate. It didn’t turn off, but it wouldn’t accelerate as fast as I wanted it to. What’s going on? Engine light is on because I need to clean maf. Which I’m doing this weekend. It’s a stored vehicle. Any help would be really appreciated. It only happened during a hard acceleration.

Sounds like you might have blown off a hose somewhere, check all your SC connections. Check all your check engine codes. Good luck.

Felt like a lag or sudden loss of power after shifting

That sounds like fuel supply being starved, check fuel filter/fuel pressure.

Ok thanks. I would if a faulty maf or iac would be causing this

Did your car rev out OK in first gear ? Dieing in second sounds like fuel starvation. If it reved out OK in First then Maf and AIV are probably not the problem..in my opinion. Good luck figuring it out, let us know !

I think I got it up to 4500 and then shifted. The car is completely fine to drive. It just happened when I started to gun it to 2nd gear.
