Mac Pro-chamber vs.....

What are the advantages of a Mac Pro-chamber? Considering sound, power, ease of installation and cost effectivness, compare it to a "regular" off-road H.

NOTE: I'm in Nova Scotia, we don't have e-tests (yet at least).

Most MAC's have fittament issues and leaks. If you can get it to fit right I'm sure there's some advantages

I love mine on my 87 5.0! It has an old school muscle car sound, a real bark when you get on it...this is with Mac longtubes, and Flowmaster catback.
No probs with the fitment, guess that cause of the Mac headders?

I'd say go for it, but keep in mind the height of your car...the Prochmber hangs down a little lower than your mufflers do, so if your car is low like mine, be prepared for the odd scrape off speedbumps.

I've heard the Prochamber won't work with a D/S safety loop

Thanks folks. I'm not sure what to do, although I've got all winter to figure it out I'm in the planning stages of the "winter upgrade" project.

I will be putting a D/S loop on at some time in the future, so that's a consideration I hadn't heard of.

Prochambers sound awesome.
I had Mac shorties / H-pipe / Flows on my 88
Mac Shorties / Prochamber / Mac Mufflers on my 91

I like the sound of the 91 over the 88.. both cars where other wise stock.

Sound clip on my 91

Running that same combo on the wifes GT. Love the sound.

I found the prochamber has the real deep rumble. Fitment was awesome. Bolted up to the stock manifolds and magnaflow exhaust perfectly.

Was thinking of trading the off road maggy X from my Cobra with the wifes Prochamber- Funny she isn't that excited about it

Hey canadian ponies, you have any sound clips of your Mach? Would like to hear it.

Actually if it's as loud as I think, I might be able to hear you from the Island
