Any stock gear box will not last long if you plan on racing your car. period.

doesn't matter.

If all you are going to do is drive it and wash it. It will last. Start adding power to the car and power shifting it and be ready to spend some money.

My 3650 lasted 5 years and took 550 HP to break it. And that was Nitrous, so it was always shocking the drivetrain. In my opinion the gear box lasted way longer than it should have. It owed me nothing when it exploded at the track on me.

they all have shifting/binding issues due to the remote mount shifter. some have syncro issues...blah blah blah.

typical oem part issues.

as long as you aren't trying to shift it at 7000 rpm, it should work fine.

I guess I fall in the first category you've mentionned. I'll be driving it and washing it. As I mentionned, no plans on hard driving, powershift and spending time at the track. This car is gonna be a summer toy to enjoy with my wife on sunny days during summer time. It will serve the same purpose as my Harley which it sold last fall except I won't be scr*d if I get caught in the rain and I'll be able to travel longer distances without having back pain. Being able to carry some luggage will be nice as well...!
