Tim,

I posted about my problems with my tune and how my car failed. In fact, I posted a whole topic on the situation. So me speaking about my problems with my tune is nothing new. In direct and open communication with Meister, I mentioned my car was running like crap.

I recently referred a friend to another local shop and they screwed him around royally...this shop happens to sponsor another forum and yet I've said nothing. I'm not out to "bash" anyone either, but if the subject comes up, I'm going to speak about it whether I'm the owner of the site or not.

When Concepts on Wheels butchered my installation, I spoke about it on here even though they were sponsors. I also mentioned that they did a good job to make the situation right. It didn't bother me that they may not renew as a sponsor, some things have to be said.

This site and it's sponsors did nothing to "feed me", the money earned from this site was insignificant...it's more about the integrity of the site and allowing people to know the truth.

I called you out because I said your opinion changed and clearly, as you stated, it has. I was unaware that it had, hence my post so no need to go off on me.

I don't bash any shop while I'm out at events...so I'm not doing it here either...you want to blame somebody....look in the mirror

you guys want 500hp and a guarantee....go buy a 07 GT 500 or a Z06 or a Viper

and be careful Steve...I can call out you on credibility if you'd like :4:

I never heard squat about your issues with Steeda until after you sold your car and then this site...and if I was sitting back and PONDERING...I'd be thinking that you would'nt want to bite the hand that feeds you....but since it's not feeding you anymore...well then let em have it.

and you're trying to call me out on something like this....hah..STFU

You're right, you're 11.71 is faster than my 11.90.... it took you many many passes to get there. Took me only one. But regardless, racing timeslips is homosexual.

If it was held at TMP I may have shown, but I still think we should do this on the street.

I understand where you're coming from...but...human nature is a bitch...as time passes...what was an issue often evolves into inaccuracy on behalf of those complaining

You did discuss your e-test and driveability issues while they were happening...but your beef in the locked thread was having to pay for a re-tune...I musta missed that complaint in the original thread.

You also mentioned your issues with COW...but now the quick explanation is "butchered".

And one member blows a head gasket on a car that may have been a high km 16 year old motor...but "professionally blown" is the explanation

maybe the CMOC should have a section called "horror stories" where folks can go and express their grief...but selectively recalling your personal grief (in some cases....months and years after the fact) in a thread where someone wants to know what shops are in the GTA is bullshit

for those who want guarantees....I have 3 for ya....1) you're gonna die...2) you will be taxed after you're dead....and 3) people don't work for free

and my sig is what it is....I feel sorry for all the shops...they're not out to bust your ride....they want to help you build it.... can and will always happen...but if you wanna have a forum where there's no holds barred and people can dwell to their heart's content...then be careful what you wish for

The reason for me not discussing the cost of the re-tune because that wasn't discussed until weeks after the e-test problems occured and I ended up selling the car shortly after.

To be blunt, COW did butcher my installation. Everything right down to the guy handling my project and the original estimate was butchered. I really don't feel like describing the situation in detail, but the short end of the story was my project was butchered from start to finish. It was not until I sat down face to face with the owner and VP of Concepts did the project get done properly. It's no imbelishment, it's the truth.

I don't see what the problem is when people bring up past stories about bad work.

You don't like it when people start a post to complain and that line above makes me think you don't like people talking about a bad experience after the fact, so when is a good time to discuss your experiences?

The problem is that there's no standard that these shops have to live up to or be accountable to. They are like contractors, they don't have to have any skill, education or experience and can destroy your ride and you're left holding the bill.

They need a Holmes on Homes for cars
