just an update on this guys.

not a whole lot new to report. But I have a set of GT40 heads for it. just spent a few hours cleaning up the heads last night. gotta finish the one tonight and pull the valves this weekend to clean them. May port them a bit while I have the valves out.

May grab the head gasket kit and timming case gasket and timing chain today or tomorrow for it so I can start the swap as soon as we get a nice day.

and also, after debating what I want to do with the intake/heads. I decided I couldnt do justice to this car and install this intake with runners looking like this:

And I couldnt see paying someone more then I payed for the intake to clean them up. So, Being a hot rodder at heart, I grabbed a broken carbide tip from work, welded it to a 6" piece of rod and went to work. then finished with a 80 grit roll. I still want to hit them with a 120 wheel yet, but this is where I am at so far:

Welp, thanks again Mike. Just picked up his spare diff for this last night. it has a rebuilt trac loc and 4.10's cant wait to install it. may try breaking the control arms bolts losse today. if they come loose I will have it swapped by tonight.

ya the god damned bolts are always the deal breaker, never had a set come lose as easy as my car did thank god for no winters lol
