It depends on what you're looking for, what other cars can you get with the same options for 50,000? You could get a C400 Merc maybe, and while that's a great car it's not exactly a V8 Sports coupe.

When I bought mine, a GT premium with no options was 39000, now a Base GT is 39000. Thats what bothers me. Mustang is supposed to be an affordable sports car and its not anymore. At least you can get an ecoboost for a decent price and with a tune it will hang with a gt.

Something to keep in mind though, is that the base GT basically has everything that a premium GT in 2010 would have had (except leather), but it has well over 100 more hp, a 6 speed, push button start etc. A premium ecoboost would feature way more than a base GT from 2010, and be competitive performance wise.

We got a base GT in yesterday. The seats seem to be the same as the GT premium seats minus the leather, which in my opinion are the best stock seats I've ever sat on in a Mustang (except the Recaro's). I have to admit that if I were a buyer, I'd probably buy the base over the premium.
