Nav system

Got my new '16 last week and love it, BUT I messed up. I know better than this to have made such a mistake, but it happened. Every brochure pic, every site pic I was on had the large screen premium radio with a navigation screen on it. I "assumed" that meant the premium radio had nav. Of course it does not. Not a deal breaker as I would have bought the vehicle anyway, but my first disappointment. In my GM vehicle I can download an app and connect it to my phone. Can I do that? I tried paring my phone to the Mustang and then getting the nav on my phone to connect but no luck. Am I missing something? Is there a way to get nav on my premium radio? Much appreciate any suggestions you might have. Cannot seem to find it anywhere in our forums.

You're disappointed with Ford because you "assumed" the premium radio had nav?

So, you have the big screen, but no nav? The nav systems I've seen recently have been nothing more than an SD card, or maybe its as simple as a dealer download, much like the nav option, at extra cost.

Its not Fords fault you "assumed". Of course, thats just an assumption on my part, what actually happened could be completely different.

As far as I know Nav can't be added after the fact, unless something has changed recently.

I am not the least bit disappointed in Ford or my new Mustang. I am disappointed I do not have nav. It cannot be added later according to the dealer. I am "disappointed" by your lack of support and the tone of your reply. Just my luck to meet negativity right off from a member. Hope the rest of the group is more supportive.

Don't mind him, he's always a little bitchy sounding but he's a decent guy.

As to your question there are aftermarkets solutions. Here's one.

Raxiom Navigation & Touch Screen Upgrade For OE Mustang Radio 390088 (15-17 All) - Free Shipping

Also check out visions or some such place and they can probably help you out. Welcome to CMOC and sorry it took so long to say hi!

Great bunch of guys here, even me, believe it or not, unfortunate that internet forums are a tough place to get a feel for "tone" of a post.

I thought you were disappointed that Ford mis-lead you into believing you were getting a nav system is all. Simple mis-understanding.

I'm really, really sorry, welcome, its a great place with a great bunch of guys, and you'll find all kinds of help here.

Happy modding.

nothing but complaints & problems

Where have you read these things? Not doubting you. I was thinking of getting a back up camera \ mirror set up from them if the dollar ever gets better. The AM reviews are pretty good.

Thanks for the way you handled that. It is easy to misunderstand what someone types in a post.
