New Stang Has Been Added To The Family....

......no not my household, but my brother's.

With everything going on with my household family, and wifes parents, I made time Saturday morning for my brother to look at a 2002 Mustang GT.
Before I get started, nothing is wrong with the families. The inlaws sold their beautiful home in Bayfield Ontario to go on a 3, or maybe more long holiday states side. They got themselves a huge *** fifth wheel trailer/home, and a brand new Ford crewcab FX4 Super Duty. So we've been getting rid of stuff in our place, and making room as we inherited some family furniture, which was a good chunk of it. So that was nice, and to carry on family heritage is pretty cool.

Now to the title of this topic.
So this past Saturday I made time to go to Brampton to look at a 2002 Mustang GT with my bro. So this was pretty exciting. He hasn't had a stang in his stable going for about 10 years now after he sold his '89 GT. He always talked about getting another stang, but just never put the effort to making it happen again. What made him finally do it. The passing of our mom this pass spring. after the last few months talking about it hard core, and really wanting to make it happen after our mom passed, he finally dove in with two feet, and said fack it, life is too short, and wants no regrets. It's his dream to build a machine out of a Mustang, and that's his goal now, a purpose if you will! He said seeing my GT just keeps the spark in his eye, an inspiration, and just to think I was thinking of selling it not too long ago. Glad I didn't now!
So of coarse I was pumped. So we packed up his Ford Escape with me, and my twins, himself, and his wife, and off we went.
So we get to Brampton, and get to the guys house, and there it is.... garage door wide open revealing a very very clean 2002 Mineral Grey Mustang GT. The exact colour my brother wanted, and was searching for the last few months. Paint was shinning like glass, the Dark Charcoal interior leather still like new, and it was tastefully modded too with 1 1/2 springs, brand yet to be determined, Mach 1 13" front brakes, Mach 1 chin spoiler, 2001/'02oem era correct ( the right coloured spoked) 17" Bullitt rims. It came with a nice car cover, and the original 5 star 17" rims aswell. The GT was sprayed yearly, and showed as there was no rust under the chassis, the door rockers were mint, rear quarters, and the engine bay was clean... as in the oil spray clean. I was very impressed with this GT for a 13 yearold car. It does have it's little road rash marks here, and there, which is workable, and is to be expected for a car of this age, unless it's a garage queen that is LOL.
My brother is very pleased, and I got to say it is awesome to see him behind the wheel of a stang again.
This is the guy that got me into Mustangs to begin with. If it was for him, and his first GT, a '85 GT back in the day, which was my first Mustang aswell, I wouldn't be sitting here today typing this little post.

Hard to say if he will log on. He isn't much of a forum board guy. Time will tell though. Pictures will come soon.
