Hey skidad,

thanks for being kind I told you I had alot to learn, but I'm loving my car, even relatively untouched. I've always been the one to favour older cars in mint original condition, maybe this will be one of those one day,

The 5 speed is standard on a Mustang, the shifter **** is interchangeable on all and is not mechanical. When we refer to more gear and 410s we are referring to the gears in the rear end differential of the car (internal). The gears can be had in different sizes and the larger the gear (the more cogs) the more "power" it will feel like (think of the rear cassette of gears on a bicycle - the smaller gears take more push on the pedals to move).

You'll need a mechanic to install rear gears.

Cheers

You may want to consider adding a gear to the car, get some more ummmff out of it.

Any pics of your car ?

Hey Jewel,

I've loved Mustangs since I was little and especially the classics from the
60's and 70's. I've had my car for almost 4 years now and have learned alot from this site and other Mustang sites.

Try and post some pics of your car. There is another site u might be interested in as well. It's called www.stangette.com it's a site for Woman Who Own Mustangs. Check it out! Welcome again and have fun!!

Welcome Jewel....
I have a 94GT witch is the same car.
Don't put 4:10's in it, it will rev thru the moon and get VERY bad gas milage.
I would put 3.73's in it for sure, and a "White" Speedo gear to calibrate the Speedo.
Then a Cold air intake, Under drive pulley's, Aluminum Drive shaft, 75mm BBK Throttle body, maybe intakes, and Heads later on.
Good luck, and keep us posted with your mods as you go.
