Oil change intervals

At what kilometer mark or time do you change your oil? I change mine once per year due to the low mileage.

I do all our cars at Walmart only $30.00 (feels like I just said all this in a previous thread lol)
Walmart tops fluids and greases all fittings! @ every 5000km's or less

Mustang....I do it myself with AMSOil full synthetic @5000km's or less
ProCharger oil every 10,000km's or less

Every 2000 kms between May and September. In late October I have the oil changed before I put it away for the winter and I have it changed as soon as I pull the pony out of the garage in April. During the April oil change I have the fuel filter changed out also.

you'll be fine at once per year with that lack of mileage imo

my toys run on Amsoil full synthetic and they get one change per year now....so that's an oil change every 2000 kms

I had this argument with Ford. My Mustang is driven low milage per year no racing or tire spinning so the argument is for arguments sake "Canadians screwed again."

Why do Canadian cars require oil changes every 5,000 K and the same car 2 miles acrossed the river every 5,000 miles a differenc eof 3,000k ? The entire exercise was a joke and their responses hilarious: "it's because of the climate in Canada" but lady 11 of the US states including Alaska have harsher weather than we do. "Its for your warrenty and on and on. Finally after about 5-6 e-mails I was told I could change my oil at 8,000 K. However, it could affect my warrenty. Argument aside, I get my oil changed at my Ford dealer religously every 5,000k.

Hey SNAKENITE,.. Opinions do vary but personally regardless of your mileage,... do your every 3 to 4 months regardless of driving,... the chemical compounds in the oil will breakdown regardless of mileage and get sludgy leaving deposits inside your engine,.... if you can afford a SHELBY you can afford a couple of extra oil changes per year,...

just my 2 cents.
