Ford candy apple red was a solid red color so there should be no need for a silver or gold base color.Now with that said "True " Candy colors generally require a bright base color (silver,gold) and sprayed with a transparent red.The more coats of paint the darker it gets,and very tricky to spray.
Have you looked at the HOK paint book to see if they offer the factory color or a close shade to it? |
