Paint prep

Back to the paint it's up to you.The "spayable paints are very nice since you don't have to do chemestry to paint your car.Candy colors are beautifull but anytime you have to use a basecoat to determine your final color means the top coat is very transparent and can easily turn out spotty.I would only trust candy to a experienced painter, don't want to mess up alot of expensive material.

who's doing the painting may I ask ??? you or someone else...? and while I'm at it, have they done any before?
I spray painted for over 17 years at the FORD assembly plant and could give you a few pointers if you want....just ask...

Alot of times the only reason to put 7 coats of clear on is if you plan on sanding and buffing. The least amount of material on your car the better.
