Re 93 mustang LX tires

hey guys, im am in need of new tires.. currently im have 245's on all fours. Now i was wondering how much wider (245, 255, 265) can i go on the back only? I want to be able to go like up to 265? will they be okay? and is keepin 245 in the front okay?

Thanks

You can run 245s in the front if you want, but you should be running 225/55/16s instead, you'll get better steering response-it'll feel lighter, but that's your call. As far as rears, the only way you'll be able to run 265s or larger is if you remove the quad shocks and modify the tailpipes so they don't rub, although you never know-they may fit no problem, it depends on the car. If it was me, I'd get 225/55s front and 255/50 rear, then you'll still get the "big n little" look without rubbing issues.
