is there anything to replacing the rear tranny seal? the seal that goes around the driveshaft input....

where do i get a new one? just any parts store?

 

well im not sure on the fords but they cant be that different .. and yes nothin to it ... just like the seal in the timing cover,, just tap in

 

you should be able to pop the old one out and tap the new one in they are that easy. and yes you should be able to get one at your nearset parts store

 

They're easy to do and pretty cheap too, just knock out the old one and tap in the new one, make sure it goes in straight, lube the new seal and take some fine emery cloth to the d/shaft yoke to clean off the wear from the old seal.
