Recalls?

I am able to tell anyone there recalls ONLY for certain years and vehicles and they are.......
1983 - 2002
American Mortors
Buick
Cadillac
Chevrolet
Chrysler
Dodge
Ford
GMC
Jeep
Lincoln
Mercury
Oldsmobile
Plymouth
Poniac

This does not tell you if your car has been done or not but if it hasnt its a free fix :thumb1:

For instance Stealth GT brought his 95 mustang in, and one out of 4 recalls were the hood seporation "bad glue" and it got fixed for free and this was last year so why not!

Well looks like you got some recalls "3" of them.

1) Parking Brake Control Adjustment
2) Speed Control Cables
3) Seat Belt Webbing Binding In Retractor

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Parking Brake Control Adjustment

Numbers of Affected Vehicles: 434000

Vehicle Description:
Passenger vehicles equipped with manual transmissions.

Description of Defect:
If a vehicle is parked with the parking brake not fully applied and not in first gear, as directed in the owner guide, and the self adjustment pawl subsequently skips one or two teeth, the vehicle could move on some grades.

Consequence of Defect:
This could result in unintended vehicle movement and a vehicle crash with prior warning.

Corrective Action:
Dealers will modify the parking brake control and install a plate or over-braket to the control to lock the self adjust mechanism in position following adjustment.
----------------------------------------------------------

2) Speed Control Cables

Numbers of Affected Vehicles: 917000

Vehicle Description:
1998-1999 Mustangs equipped with 3.8L, 4.6L 2-valve or 4-valve engines and speed control built from March 2, 1998 through March 4, 1999

Description of Defect:
A speed control cable can interfere with the speed control servo pulley and not allow the throttle to return to idle when disengaging the speed control.

Consequence of Defect:
If the speed control is used in this condition is present, a stuck throttle could result, which could potentially in a crash.

Corrective Action:
Dealers will replace the speed control cables. At the present time, the replacement cables are not available. Customers are being advised not to use the speed control system until a replacment can be made. Owners will be contacted twice. First owner notification is expected to begin during march 1999, and th second notice will be made when parts are available (anticipated late April, early May).
-----------------------------------------------------------------

3) Seat Belt Webbing Binding In Retractor

Numbers of Affected Vehicles: 29000

Vehicle Description:
Passenger vehicles

Description of Defect:
The seat belt retrator may have a pin shaft in the switchable elr/alr mechanism that is incorrectly formed. In some circumstances, the switching mechanism could become nonfunctional, preventing the seat belt webbing from being extracted from the retractor. It is also possible that malfunction of the mechanism could prevent the seat belt from being switched into the alr mode. the elr mechanism is not affected by this condition.

Consequence of Defect:
If the mechanism malfunctions and does not allow the webbing to be extracted, the lap shoulder belt could not be worm be a vehicle occupant. In the event that mechanism does not allow the alr mode to be engaged, the operatormay be unable to properly install a child seat in that seating postion.

Corrective Action:

Dealers will inspect the lap and shoulder belt assemblies. Assemblies with julian date codes of 200 through 223 are suspect and will be replaced.
