Roush axelbacks....

.... are ordered and on the way. I've been looking for an axel back system to add some decent sound to my GT so read every thing I could find and listened to a lot of sound clips and figured, wth, I like the sound of the Roush. They may be a bit loud for some people but I figured there was no point in getting something that was a 'little' louder like the GT500's so why not do it right. Supposed to be NO drone either, which was a big plus for me.

Should be here next week or so. I'll let you know if I made the right decision.

Finally got the Roush muffs installed and it was worth the wait. They sound great - not nearly as loud as some people led me to expect but then again I ride Harleys so loud is relative.

Excellent quality, well made system but not the easy peasy install I expected. The problem is getting the old ones off. The Roush go on slick.

Anyway, all is done and I can recommend these to anyone who wants a louder, deeper exhaust note at idle and cruise with some serious sound when you step on the go pedal.

A bonus - the wife loves them!

Glad to hear you like them. Post a video if you get a chance. The stockers are a pain to get out and are heavy as hell.

Hi there,
Any chance in hearing these bad boys? I am thinking of getting the same for my 2014 GT/CS. I want something a little louder than stock, but not too loud.
Thanks,
Rick

OP hasn't signed on since July of last year. Hit youtube and came up with this if it helps. Looks like it's even a GT/CS.

I think we are going to order the Roush axle back as well for the 15GT.

Good choice Bill!

I have been listening to clips of various axle backs for over a month now. I finally decided to get the Kooks Performance Axle Back from American Muscle. Ordered it last Thursday and received it this Monday....shipping was super fast. Will be putting them on Saturday.
The Kooks have just the right low end tone and growl that I was looking for and when you step on the gas it seems to sound even better but not too loud. I plan on taking a before video and after video and will post to Youtube.

Good luck and have fun with the Roush!

Ordered the Roush this morning as well as the shock tower support across the top of the engine.
Should have it all this week and I'm going to surprise the wife with it all. She won't know until the next time she goes for a boot! lol
