roush side exhaust, owners experience?
Any comments or experience on ground clearance of roush side exhaust.
Friend heard from 1 owner that had too low, many issues with hitting ground & bumps. Not sure if that car was lowered. We're thinking of roush stage 3 kit with side exhaust on our 2000 & 2003 v6's Jim (Barrie, ON) |
I think it looks good, as far as hitting I am not sure.
|
I think it looks great too. No idea about ground clearence.
|
X3 on good looks but I can't comment for sure on clearance. If you aren't lowered I would think it should be ok.
|
that point makes sense^^^^

Never heard anything about grounding, however I did hear that the exhaust blows up dust and crap from curbside ??

My buddy has a side pipe with a plastic ground effect around the side exhaust on his mustang and had the body shop fix it three times in one year of ownership. He is changing it this spring. Also they are right about the dust always blowing up his car is always dusty. Not worth the hassles for the side pipes.
|
that sux i.e. 3 repairs. That would be very disheartening
|
^^^ x 3. I really like the look of side exhaust systems. I've never picked any up for the SN95's as I imagined similar type of problems. Too bad - they really look nice.

any pics there kind sir?^^^
|
if i knew how to post pics i would. i never had any issues with the exhaust on my stage 2 roush. plenty of ground clearance and i am 1 inch lower than a stock gt. dust is not that bad. i dont find it kicks up any dust at all. the only thing i would complain about it rush hour traffic and how the fumes come right in the car. but i have a convertible so it would not be bad with the windows closed on a coupe. if anyone wants pics just email me and i will send some of the side exits and underneath.

^^^ Love the pic. Yet, they look as good as I remember. I'll never know why they stopped producing them.

I like the 2 tips, and I mean that to sound completely straight.
