She's a month old today!!!
Its been exactly a month today since I got the GTCS.
Ive already clocked 2,500 km on her,and loved every minute of it. The transmission is settling out just nicely,it was a little notchy at first, but now it's melted butter!
Im completely in love at how LONG the gears are, 2nd 3rd and 4th are just sex! 5th and 6th are excellent highway gears.
So last night the wife and I headed up to Sutton for dinner,which is about 1 1/2 hrs away from Toronto,for no other reason then to drive up on the 403, just sweetness in motion...used 6th till we got out the city( on the DVP) and turned on cruse,at 120km just over 1800 rpm and grooved on the tunes.
I did a few 3rd and 4th pulls once we were out just to hear that coyote howl,man the sound of the motor just sounds sweet,which is why sirrus was off LOL.
This ride will be staying with me for years to come,Im just 200% happy with it and have to say FORD did an amazing job both in the mechanical and design cues on the 2011 GTCS.
Early in the week I took it in to the dealer regarding the clutch TSB... they changed several parts including the clutch/brake pedal assembly and some other stuff related to this TSB...LOL the service manager asked me if I experianced clutch lock down at around 7200 and I told him it was new, still in the process of breaking it in and no, Ive not been to those lofty heights on this new motor, HOWEVER I wanted the TSB addressed so I don't have to worry about it down the road,took them in total 3 hrs and it was all done.
My real concern was that the TSB said 25 april 2010 or later models; mine just happened to have a built date of (no day) April, 2010 so I had concerns and they just addressed them without any hassles, again great dealership!
Today I'll be taking off the 19" wheels and putting on my new winter 16".I also want to clean and wash the rust proofing oil that got on the inside of the wheels, then store them till spring.
Any suggestions guys weather to use the jack that came with the ride ( it would fit the lifting notches perfectly) or a 2 1/2 ton hydraulic jack I have. What's a safe spot to apply the jacks head if I go with the hydraulic? I don't want to bend anything underneath... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go old school with the floor jack - never liked the jacks that came with the car, too flimsy. If you're worried about damaging anything, try putting a phone book on the floor jack lift platform - not the T.O. phone book of course, but something a little more manageable. Then slide it under the rear diff with no worries, and then under each of the shock mounts in the front. Cool to hear the Coyote howl man - good description.

Ok, so before I started to get the winters out to the drive way, I had a look on my Iphone to see what's happening with the weather in TO for the next week..... sunny till NEXT saturday,yep summer rubber and 19's are still on LOL!
Maybe next weekend. So I did a through wash,used my compressor after to blow out crevice water,dried it using a synthetic shammy ( real pig skin shammy's break down leaving behind fragments,which is a hassle if you're waxing) then proceeded to do a through waxing before winter sets in,this will protect paint from the harsh airborne salt.So now paint has a sealant and a good layer of wax,should be good for the that will be heading our way during the winter months.
I'll more than likely be using my truck during snow outs,too many idiots on our roads during winter months to take chances with the pony,but I'll drive it on nicer days.
Wow snakebite,2 seasons huh, going back to 004 when I bought the SRT4, a friend of mine picked one up a week apart, to this day his total milage is still lurking under 4,500 km!!! when mine sold,it was approaching 96,000 km.
What's even more strange is this friend has spent a pretty big wad of $$$$$ on this ride, both in go fast goodies and appearance mods. He put a 50 trim, full exhaust, big brake setup,fuel setup,completely changed the interior to ALL leather,and a load of carbon fiber parts, hood, trunk,wing... but he has yet to see 5,000 km on his clock!!! and never a drop of rain, that's a little too extreme for me to do, I buy cars cause I want to enjoy them.
His wife has been getting on his *** to sell it, seeing he never drives it, but told her unless he gets the price he's asking it ain't going anywhere LOL. So he thinks Mr IwantthatSRT4 will just blaze in and plop HUGE $$$ to buy it.
Im sure you guys all went through this stuff,but it really doesn't matter where I am,complements flow like water about the stang,mostly from women,yesterday while I was messing with the wax, 4 separate women stopped to talk/check it out while walking their dogs, LOL... freakin chick magnet LOL... and I get a lot of " Mario, when are you going to take me for a spin" hehehe... just what the wife wants to hear!!!
2,500 km has freed up the tranny beautifully, the notichness I felt at the beginning has been replaced by smooth fluid CLICKS...tunes OFF, you can just hear the positive engagement of the different cogs, which is music to my ears,what can I say, Im loving this love affair with da PoNy!

I do mine in the garage so I never see any fine women, crap! I think there are more of me's out there than most people would guess and people like me probably get more pleasure out of cleaning a vehicle than driving it. This may seem strange to some but it is indeed true.

Well,that doesn't doesn't sound to unrealistic.It seems like the more one spends on their ride,the more it sits,if left stock,the more one drives it,and bang the living hell out of it LOL!
But there is also the SNAKBITE kind aswell that just love to detail,and admirer their joy.
