You might want to try MGW Inc for the short throw shifter. They are located in the USA.

I am partial to the Magnaflow Exhaust System. Loud when you punch it will a low rumble at idle. http://www.magnaflow.com/

Hit up youtube and listen to some exhaust clips from cars similar to yours. Its probably the easiest way to find the sound you're looking for.

The fee is charged to your credit card. With the current value of the Canadian dollar against the American you should make out fairly good. I believe there is a 1-800 number on each site. You should give them a call to determine the exact price.

Is the 04 a Gt? I liked my Steeda shifter on the 05gt I used to own but there are a few that people will recommend.

carspark 07-03-2011 06:43 PM

I have had 4 Mustangs with t5/t45 and I put B&M in all of them. For the price I found it to be a great shifter. I assume they would be the same on the t3650. As far as exhaust goes I had a Flowmaster catback on my 2000 and it sounded great but the quality sucked. One of the best sounding combos I've heard was a Magnaflow Magnapack catback with a Mac off-road prochamber.

I always found 3rd gear was a bitch when shifting like a madman, ok I did it twice

1low03gt 07-04-2011 06:19 PM

I'm using the B&M ripper shifter, and have had it in my GT since '03.No complaints yet,and still feels like it did when i first installed it.
I've also heard a lot of good things about MGW shifter.
Exhaust wise.....go to you tube and check exhaust sound clips,or go here....
http://www.mustangexhaust.com/.
Some worry about the quality, myself i go for the sound.I don't daily drive my GT,so it doesn't see snow, and sees no rain, unless i get caught in it,so i don't i don't worry about the quality as much as some, but i do care about the fit.
Right now my GT has the Bassani catted X pipe with 2 1/2 dynomax flowtubes with 2 1/2 Flowmaster 40s "originals" followed by 2 1/2 dynomax tailpipes.I love the sound personally.

Yep on my first Mustang (2000 GT) I blew 3rd once and ordered a B&M the next day. Ever since then the day I got a Mustang the first thing I did was order a shifter. My GT500 is the 1st one I've kept this long without changing the shifter. I've got a Ford Racing one sitting in my garage waiting to be installed when my clutch TSB gets done.

^^^weird re 500 shifter as this is still stock as well and I will keep her stock

Take your time, and don't rush to buy parts just to have "per say" parts. If you want a paticular part, take your time, and get them when you can.Took me 8 years to get my GT where it is so far,and it isn't even close to being done.
As for the Bassani x pipe,it is worth every dollar.Out of all the X pipes with cats i researched on the net,the Bassani came on top compared to the rest real world comments on many sites for the quality for it's cats (which was my main, and biggest concern),along with the rest of the mid pipes design, and fit,and finish.

Not real happy with my MagnaFlows but to lazy/cheap to change them out

I agree completely with all of this. Been working on my for 4 years so far.
I have Bassani catted X-pipe and axle backs. Great fit, finish and sound. Pricey but worth every penny for me.

IMO Magnaflow sounds much better on a 4.6 2v than a 5.4 so if you were considering them I wouldn't worry too much.

SNAKEBITE 07-08-2011 09:21 AM

On my 05gt I found the Flowmasters to have a very deep muscle car sound. With the magna's on my 5.4 it just does not have that sound. I guess I could have just x2 chadstangs reply lol

carspark 07-09-2011 01:35 PM

Wow that sounds kinda pricy. For that kind of money I would have went MGW but I hope it works good for you.

SNAKEBITE 07-09-2011 08:11 PM

that does seem pricey. good luck
