They are infamous for that! Trade mark you could say! I have the SLP catted X pipe also which makes it louder for noise. Really raspy though. People either love it or hate it, I have not found one person that says ah that is okay. I like em though and that is what counts on my car.

its not so bad now that I routed my blow off back into my intake tract before the blower. I still get the air to air intercooler noise but i deal with it

I am not sure what constitutes legal for a mufler in Canada. They are resonators like the old cherry bombs of the 70's. glass packs if you remember them. They were legal in the day so I just assumed I was good as they are legal in all 50 states but are not legal for the noise bylaw. So for emmissions as California has tougher emmissons I woul dsay good but for noise I would say no. But hey man, if you speal your tires they can get you for noise. If your are hesitant or worried about the noise do not get them. They are loud. Your Mustang will not sound like a Mustang with them on especially with the SLP X pipe. Mine just makes noise. lol sounds like ***! gooid luck, and if you find any data share it please. Not sure I would change them if you told me they were not allowed though as I really like the SLP sound.
