SN95 5.0 swap to 351W

Hey guys,

Brand new to the board, but I must say its nice to have some Canadian resources.

Anyways, I am looking at doing a swap to a 351W with a bone stock 95 mustang GT 5.0. I am hoping to make a Saleen replica S351...its my favourite mustang.

I am not sure if it matters if I can get a 351 block that doesn't have roller cams or fuel injection. Can I change these out or do I need to find an engine with the roller cams and fuel injection?

Also, does anybody have the detailed specs on the S351 engine? I've found some material, but its not very detailed.

Thanks in advanced.

A non roller block can use a small base circle cam which is non standard and limits cam choices or you can get the special link bar roller lifters to run any standard dimension cam for the 351
Fuel injection can be run on the non roller bock but the 5.0 intake won't fit.
The 302 distributor won't fit.
The stock 5.0 exhaust manifolds will bolt up to the 351 but the stock exhaust won't bolt up to them because the 351 has a taller deck.
You'll need a different oil pan also.
