Not much use having a car that you drive for six months of the year and be couped up!
I gave up 60 years of owning and riding motorcycles and replaced that with top down driving.
Wouldn't have it any other way. The fun factor is way higher with the top down.
I have seen many flop tops driven all winter., the newer cars have insulated tops and are just as warm and quiet as a coupe.

I am in your corner brother....We had a blast driving our TJ year round, and took it on the ice a couple times when we were out ice fishing... The only reason I don't cruise the GT in the winter is corrosion..... pretty hard to keep the undercarriage free from salt and grime. Damn car is too low to clean properly.
Cheers, and hope the winter sun keeps you partying!!

Just traded my 2015 Jeep Wrangler soft top on a 2017 Fastback,2.3/auto/Black. No way I wanted a Rag Top.The Jeep has a huge hole over your head when u flip the top back (10 second job). But with this very
hot summer out herein BC it was not ideal. Also very noisy ( I have hearing aids) plus always worried that
a rat could cut through the fabric in seconds to gain access to interior ( left nothing in view). So went with
a fastback. I found the Mustang very quiet inside compaired to my wife's 2011 Accord LX with moon roof. And my first day mileag of 36.7 Milesto the Gallon Highway - blew my mind. Ken -Senior 73 trips around the Sun.

Yeah, Jeeps can be fun, but the feel of the Mustang hardtop is pretty special. I believe the shape of that roofline is some of the nicest metalwork to come out of Detroit in years. One can see the '"airframe style where the D pillar blends into the top of the rear fender area". Apparently Carrol Shelby had aviation engineering experience.

cheers Ken,

Frankie
