Springs or the whole meal deal?

I am trying to come to some kind of concensus as far as lowering the 05Gt. Do you go with springs to save money or as the Ford dealership I frequent tells me, purchase the whole integrated lowering kit. The price for the Ford kit is 1700.00 plus 6 hours labour which=2300.00. Has anyone had any experience with the kit etc. I am waiting on a price for 4 FR500 rims that have a black face and polished lip. They will be 18" and the rubber will be 275/40/18. Does this sound like a good combo. Total price out the door would be 5100.00 for the suspension and tires/rims. Am I crazy for spending that much for these mods?

If you are just looking to lower the car I would suggest the following:

1" Drop - Steeda Springs - no CC plates required but suggested

1"-2" Drop - Eibach Pro or Spotlines - CC Plates Required

If you are just looking to LOWER the vehicle that is all you will need

These ones, Paul?

http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/m...ry_Code=WHEELS

I got my wheels from them, dealer wanted $1000 a piece for them, I got them there for $150 US a piece.

That's the ones. Are they a good choice for my car/paint scheme?

Those are them, the ones on Flynnts link. Can you get them for the 05gt and would 18X9 on all 4 corners be appropriate. What size tire would I use on the rims. Thanks Replica's are fine I think. Do the black ones have a polished lip and to boot, do they come in just plain chrome as a second option. What's the diff in price from the real over the replica's?

I will look into everything for you and give you a price. I personally feel 19's are the smallest you should go on a 05+ vehicle, however when lowered with a eibach pro kit the car looks amazing with 18's.

Thanks. Do you carry the Nitto 555 radial? Is it a good tire? I would go 19 or 20 but then the rotors look to small :laughhard
