5.0 = 195rwhp
4.62v = 220rwhp
4.64v n/a = 270rwhp

Fox car's were lighter, made more torque. Mod motors are far more advanced from an engneering standpoint. Everyone has a personal preference...just njoy them all

MORE ADVANCED?????????????????????
Think again,Perhaps from a economy/emissions "standpoint"
5.0s will always be far more superior....

Hell i will show him with a stock 4.6 2V.
I've done both,and i will not go back.
Hell,with a few bolt ons( 4.10's,and a k&N,and m/t et streets),damien2003gt ran 13.2's,all stock motor,stock h pipe,suspension,clutch,ects.I have not seen a 5.0 around this area do that with similar bolts ons. :p:

I've taken on 96-98 GT and 99+ GT....niether were overly impressive. i guess it's your personal prefrence. but from what i've heard, a 5.0L is cheaper it modify

The 5.0 is cheaper to mod yes, but the 4.6 PI benefits well from mods too, they also have a stronger bottom end than the 5.0, have much lower emissions and get much better fuel economy. Stock for stock a fox 5.0 would likely get spanked by a '99+GT depending on driver of course, '96-'98 GTs are fairly slow, sorry.

i would disagree that a 99 would "spank a 5.0......i race a 99 GT for a gear or so and i was not overly impressed!.......94-98 4.6 had less power then the 99+ so i guess the thread started should let us know what years of 4.6!
