Suspension Question

My 97 Cobra is 100% stock and I'm noticing a big difference in the handling compared to my 94 V6 which is lowered and has upgraded shocks. Windsor has some pretty bad roads that are bumpy, especially around turns. I don't want to be bouncing everywhere and having the body roll or one of the wheels leaving the ground slightly.

So what I'm looking for is something that's good for street/track driving and decent for drag racing as well. Is there anything that's a mix of street/strip that's pretty good? I probably won't be buying anything until summer but doesn't mean I can't plan now.

Steeda Sport Springs or FRPP B Springs will be your best option. Let me know how I can help.

Look at Eibach's as well. I've never heard a bad word about their springs for the stangs

I also noticed a lot of wheel hop. I'll probably need new shocks as well...

i never get wheel hop in mine, and my suspention is hooped, or close to it.
might it be the tires?

on acceleration or deceleration?

My understanding is LCA's are often a cause of wheel hop (among other things) - especially under acceleration.

Going with a good set of shocks and a good set of LCA's will eliminate the wheel hop.

LOL! You will have $20K into that car in no time! Any aftermarket shocks along with some still springs will do. Also look into a beefy set of control arms. I use Maximum Motorsports but they are very expensive. Ford B springs are great springs for the money, here is a pic of my cobra with the b's on it. Click the pic for a clearer shot.
