ive got an 89 LX 5.0 5 spd and i think my syncro in 1st is gone cause as i let off the clutch she pops out of gear and slams into neutral I was wondering on how much it would cost to replace and a good shop to bring it to...Thanks

you have an aftermarket shifter? i member my pro5.0 was doin that, thought my tranny was fucked but really the shift stops rattled loose and moved further forward so it was only engaging the gears halfway, got on it at all and it just spat it out into neutral.

i put in an MGW shifter because it was doing it with the stock one currently i dont have stops for it anyway because the guy i bought it off forgot to ship em to me so im in the process of gettin some..but ya it was even doing it before i put in the MGW so it has to be the tranee...Thanks for the suggestion tho
