I like my 4 banger. It goes when I want it to. Although, not very fast, but it still goes.

Sometimes a smaller motor car is all that's available at the time of buying... so...

Still would like an 8, but I'm afraid id have more money in tickets to pay than insurance...

"You should of bought a Gt, cause it's more powerful"
"You should of bought a Mach 1 because it is more powerful than a GT"
"You should of bought a Cobra because it is more powerful than a Mach 1"
"You should of bought a new Shellby GT500, because it is more powerful than the older Cobra"
"You should not of bought the new Shelby, because it does not handle as well as a lot of foreign exotic cars".

See where this is going???

Instead of trying to make people who like their cars feel that they have purchased a so-called inferior car, we should realize that there is always a better car. We all get what we can afford based upon circumstance. As the Director of our local car club, I would never make a comment or respect a negative comment directed towards a member who does not own what some people consider to be an inferior car. This is not an attitude that we foster.

Many of our Membership V6 cars perform and show as good if not better than their V8 cousins.

My 02 V6 outran every V8 except for 2 ,03 Mach 1,s in both HP and the 1/4 mile on the our Club's Dyno run event last year. Since then I have changed the auto trans to a T5, and am expecting a better this year.

To me the money that I saved in not buying the GT, has allowed me to build the V6 into a very enjoyable car. This build is being done at a pace that is afordable to me.

The V6 weighs 200lbs less in the front, and this can make a huge differance on the road course also.

I have met people who obviously feel superior because they own cars that they consider "better". Their attitude is usually blessed with other "attributes" that seldom give them the ability to really respect other people who do not fall into ther narrowly defined acceptance space.
I truly feel sorry for these people as they are missing out.

I'm not much of a V6 guy, but have huge respect for those who modify them. The 4 bangers were amazing little cars, and without them putting around ford wouldn't have even offered a V8...they make so little money off of them it's just not funny. However, the V6 has come a long way...the new 4.0 makes more power from the factory than our 5.0s did...

I totally agree!!!! And not just because I own one.

Sure I'd prefer a V8, but if I owned one I wouldn't want to drive it all year round. My wife and I bought this as a daily driver and something for her to learn standard on. It was either this or a cheaper import. I'm sure glad we got the mustang.

Besides when it comes to power I have no problems keeping up with or beating stock 94-96 V8's, expecially those heavy convertibles. Even with their shiny and deep sounding dual exhaust. My leather interior is much nicer than any cloth V8 interior. Front wheel drive in the winter is a car that was made for my wife, not me. And well you can trick out any car to make it go fast.

So tell me Grant, would you have bought that kick A$$ V8 if you didn't work at the dealership?? Just curious.

Oh and it's great to hear you love your car so much, mustangs are awesome!

Cheers!

Yeah, V6Sprout (I think it was him) rented an 05 V6 Mustang and rated it at the V6 Ford Challange and put down a 15.0 with an automatic. That is not bad for a 100% stock car.
