^^^ I wish I could tell you what color it's going to be painted!

We went to the shop and looked over ALL the spray samples. There were quite a few (lots of candy colors) but only a handful of serious contenders - black, flat black, mollypop, and mystic extreme, ohh and a deep red - which looked nice actually. So we looked at all of the colors (and as I promied my wife I didn't try to sway her in any way). I just looked. I went outside for like 2 seconds to grab the ownership and insurance information and just like that she had picked the color.

I guess I'll find out the color once it's done! I have absolutly NO idea what she picked .... and she's not telling. She's pretty excited though.

LOL ... I wouldn't mind if she choose mollypop pink. It's a girls car after all. Now if we were talking MY Mustang .. well, that's a whole different ball game.

I just want to get the cosmetic stuff done so we can start the really fun work together - a complete engine rebuild (ported upper and lower intake, heads, cam, forged internals), new flywheel and clutch, and the new full suspension.

I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be great bonding time - and I think with her having put so much hard work into the car she'll take car of the thing. Hopefully want to keep it and not get bored of it. Thats the plan anyways.

haha i think you have it all backwards i'd rather have mine going like a bat outta hell before i even worry bout how she looks. none the less tho.. it is a project car that runs, mine isn't...
but it's good to hear that your daughter is willing to spend that kind of time with you doing CAR stuff. if there were more girls like that i'd have been married a loooonnng time ago

So, we took a really hard look at the Mustang last night and conducted a really detailed inspection of the car.

I think were going to have to post pone the paint job for some badly required maintenance and repair (and anybody who knows me knows that "maintenance and repair" means UPGRADE!!!).

The suspension is original (I know ... 12 years old) and desperatly requires replacement. The engine has developed a tick .... which I think is probably arching in the plugs and wires (doesn't look like the car has had a tune up in years). Might be something more serious but I don't think so. The car only has about 129,000 km on it. Ahh, even if it does, the whole engine is being pulled and rebuild anyways.

So, I ordered the new suspension for the VAEM V-6 PROJECT just this morning ....... Here we go:

- Tokiko D-Spec Adjustable Shocks & Struts
- Steeda Billet 4-Bolt Caster Camber Plates
- Ford Racing 03/04 Cobra Style Front Lower Control Arms
- Steeda Aluminum Rear Upper & Lower Control Arms
- Steeda X2 Ball Joint Kit
- Steeda Bumpsteer Kit
- Eibach Anti-Roll-Kit (Front & Rear Sway Bars)
- BBK Strut Tower Brace
- BBK Bolt On Subframe Connectors

She should feel better than BRAND NEW after we install all this stuff (I'll post pics of the install and stuff).

I guess paint will have to wait until next year .... with the suspension going in and the rebuild of the motor next - no sense painting her now ....
