Nothing no water a little bit of gunk do you know could there be anything underneath such as a drain plug or grommet that could be missing?I'm going to drop by local dealership and ask the service mgr if he can bring up on the computer than have put it up on a hoist and check it out. Also I get a strong exhaust smell while car is warming up it does go away but again do I have something missing underneath.

Well I'm stumped then, sorry.

Here is link to pics of the underside of a 2012. There does appear to be one or 2 plugs in that area, so perhaps one is missing or not properly installed in the hole.

Hope you find the root cause, and make sure you keep the carpet dry afterwards.

It seen awhile but it appears my problem has been solved,I had a seam on the bottom and up the back of the floor pan that was not sealed completely. The water was seeping through the seam and running along the wiring harness up to the front kick panel on the passenger side.Dealer had to tear out interior, carpets included and smoke the interior to find the leak,at least inside pan was cleaned carpets were fully cleaned any mildew issues were taken care seats were cleaned but damn it was gone for two weeks I missed my car.Within minutes of picking it up I was well no other way to put foot to the floor accelerating on to the inland island highway quick burst to 150kph and I felt a hell of a lot better

When I took out my trunk liner in my 2013
in order to undercoat it,there was two
threaded bolt holes in my trunk that where
not sealed up.

You could see the ground below.I was really
surprised and sealed these up so no water
could get in.

You might want to get under and have a look
with a light.I was not impressed with these
open spots.

Are you two puromen related?

puroman60 05-21-2014 08:21 PM

This seems a little unusual to have similar user names and no we're not related at all be careful here folks

As def says, its probably the typical water leak with S197s.

Ford has a TSB on it, #68 (7 posts down on this page) of a few different possibilities:

Edit: Ah, skipped page 2. Glad to hear you got it fixed.

well guess what they didnt get the leak fixed on the first go around after the first mild rainfall I had water in the same spot but just not the same amount so back to the dealership and they tore the interior apart again smoked the interior again and lo and behold smoke coming out in almost the same place. My thinking is dealership didn't smoke the interior like they said just ran water over car like it was raining found a spot then said good enough well it wasn't,hasn't rained since so we'll see once it rains but guaranteed it's not going back to that dealership.Tell me people should it matter where you got your ford product and where you get it worked on?First thing that was mentioned to me at this dealership was you didn't buy this car from them.WTH tome it dosn't matter. What they don't realize I did try to buy from them they didn't have the car couldn't find one the way I wanted it and when it came to a factory order it was $11 grand more than what I got this car for plus all the other goodies such as finance and trade in I couldn't say no but these guys are not thrilled with me.I live in a isolated town on the west coast we have one ford dealership unfortunately but i really don't want to deal with them but Vancouver is 5 hours and two ferry rides away so the costs will add up but the road there is freakin blast
