What can I do to a straight 6 200 Engine?

Can I do anything to up the horsepower? Has anyone done anything with an inline 6 200 engine to get anymore horsepower?

I have the engine out of my 66 mustang and thought I would try and do something with it before I can save up to buy a 302 V8.

Any advise would be welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Mods can be done, but never really cheap.

If you really want a V8, makes more sense to save up for a conversion (including brakes and suspension), or sell yours and buy a V8 car.

cheers

Tie it to a rope, and throw it over the side of a boat.
Just kidding...I'm actually a big fan of 6 cyl. performance. That's why my '07 is a V6 with a supercharger, instead of a GT. Here is another place with some ideas...

I've become quite the V6 fan as of late. I say keep the 6 and fix it up.

I had two 66 Mustang fastback both had a 289 V8. I say save up and get your self a 302 V8 your car is worth it. A V6 is a differant story

I am going to save up for a V8, probaly a 302. Someone else was telling me that I should put in a 351. Will a 351 even fit?

351w will fit but there is not alot of room. You will hate plug changes!!! Or you can just notch the shock towers to help with clearance.
