What Tires do you use ?

What type of tires are you using ?

I just bought the 'stang a set of 18" rims and now, searching for tires.

Michelin Pilots score very high on customer survey's but a *very* expensive. I looked at Goodyear F1 Supercar tires but they have had some complaint about wearing but I only drive between 3500 to 500kms a year so I suspect I will have sidewall cracking before the wear issue. Much more to my concern is about noise. Many people complained about it. One guy said - forget about listening to the radio or talking to a passenger....however, they grip like crazy. I am more of a cruiser than an aggressive driver so this characteristic doesn't override the noise issue.

So, what does everyone use ? I will be buying this week.

One last question. In the winter, is it best to jack the car off the ground so the tires do not touch (I did the with my 'bGT ) or just leave as is like I did with the 'stang last year.

Thanks
Grassy

I have went through TOYO T1-R they were a nice tire I prefered them to the Eagle F1 GS-D3 I just burned off. I ordered new tires and I went with the Bridgestone RE760 sports by recommendation of the tire shop I deal with.

TOYO-NITTO-FALKEN-COOPERS (USED ON THE NEW ROUSH)

AS FOR WINTER STORAGE, JACK UP THE CAR AND REMOVE YOUR MAGS W/TIRES OF THE CAR.
START IT A COUPLE OF TIMES A MONTH, REMOVE THE BATTERY WHEN NOT IN USE, FULL TANK OF GAS, AND BREAK OUT THE CLEANING AND DETAILING TOOLS.

Crafty,

I think I remember somewhere that you have to have the same make/brand/tred pattern on both front and rear.

Saleen,

Where do you use for your jack points ?

We have problems getting some of the exotics in mud puddle, canada

When I get them done, I'll post a picture.

Grassy

When you start it, do you open your garage door ? I put a couple of hay bales in the garge to remove and humidity..they act like a sponge..
