i've got Firestone SZ50, 245/45/ZR17 up front. These things just wont die, even wear,cool tread pattern, all around great tire.

and Dunlop Sport SP 8000, 335/35/ZR17's out back. Great when dry. Slippery as fack in the rain or if i hit a dusty patch of road. Tread pattern could be more aggressive but is OK.

Well, I ordered my tires in and darn, they are huge but funny though, with the 18" wheel, my car is going to be lower.

The mechanics want to mount the rim first to make sure I have the clearance ..which I should..on the back I will have a 285/35-18 and they look great with the rims..when I have them on, I will take a pic...I am excited !!

I use B F Goodrich g-Force™ Super Sport A/S , nice tires and they are giving good wear .

I Would Suggest not doing this... Leaving your suspension unloaded for long periods of time is never a good idea, there not designed for that, if you are going to jack the car put the jacks on the axle's so you keep your weight on the suspention. I put 3/4-1" plywood under my tires to get them off the floor but that's about it, The main reason for jacking a car is flatspots on the tires, but in 6-7 months the newer tires should never really do that.

Have you looked at what a 300+ 18 inch tire costs..one perelli was over 1K ..yeash..

Outlaw, interesting comment..my my was happy with jacks uner the frame with no kload on the tires..I had wondered about the more sophisticated mustang suspention. One of my buds said pump them up with air and leave them..

Why do you put your tires on plywood ?

putting the wood under the tires is supposed to minimize moisture from getting from the floor to car, or temp from floor to car, can't remember which one


and i have a set of 245/45/17's BFG G-Force Sports on stock GT rims

Little of Both, i also pump the tires to the rated max to try and help flatspotting as well.
