What tires are similar to g-force T/A KDW's?

I've got BF g-Force T/A KDW's on the rear, (275/40/17)
i want to move back to 245/45/17 on all 4 corners, although i really like having the fat tires out back.

I like the KDW's so far, but they are bald, and rain makes me nervous now (that and the fine for having bald tires).

I'd like a similar performing tire if i can find one for hopefully no more then $250 a tire, but can go a little higher if need be. I will only be driving the mustang april->october, so no need to worry about snow. I also need to be able to drive on gravel with out worrying about hurting the tire at all. The car is just a 5 spd 3.8, so i'm not putting much power to the ground, so won't have large traction issues, just want something somewhat sticky to get me around corners, and won't spin on acceleration.

Any recommendations on a similar tire that i should check out? i should be able to get Michelins for a half decent discount (so if it came to an identical tire Goodyear vs. Michelin, i'd get the michelin),

i was thinking something like the:
Pilot XGT Z4
Pilot Sport PS2

those kind of tires, just looking for opinions from people that have used a tire that is fatter then a 215 series before, as i am just getting into the RWD world, any help would be appreciated, thx

I'm pretty sure there's no such tire as a Traction T/A KDW. The Traction T/A's are just that with no other options. There is however the G-Force T/A which comes in KD, KDW, KDW N/T and KDWS.
Either way, I'd look into the G-Force Sport, very nice tire with good performance and treadlife, also reasonably priced. Just so you know, BFG and Michelin are the same company. BFG's are much cheaper than Michelin's but the same (if not better) quality tire IMO.

theya re pretty decent, i can spin them pretty easy...

sorry about the "traction" part, they're just the g-force T/A KDW's
didn't know BFG was the same as michelin, i should get a good discount on those to then..

tire rack shows the KDW's for $146 per and the sports for $111 per.. that's not to bad of a price,

plus i'm only putting rears on now, and next year buying 2 more, switching the rears to the fronts, and next years new tires on the rears...

^Good luck with it, I'm sure you'll be happy with the Sport's, they're nice tires.

awsome i'll get those tires priced out and bought hopefully next week, not caring about spinning the tires are nice, but i'm gonna get caught for bald tires soon with my luck so i'd better get some new rubber on the rears ASAP... thanks all

(still open to any other suggestions as of now)

I currently have on a set of Dunlop SP FM 901
and have no problems with them. You should be able to find them for about 2 bills a corner, installed.
