It's the most amazing show of cars I've ever seen. We've been there a few times, back when the event became an event. But it wasn't always an organized event, it was a Saturday night teenage ritual. My parent's generation would cruise Woodward. Our generation would cruise Gratiot.

40 years? You got me on that one. I remember driving down to my Dad's shop 30 years ago which was at 8 Mile and Woodward, just a couple blocks from the State Fairgrounds. Scary neighborhood back then.

 

Haha... Oddly enough Mustang Alley is right around the corner from there now.... @ 9 Mile/Woodward.

Seems like a nice area......
