She's stock as far as far as I know. Was previously my sisters car from new.The dealership put 18" rims and a mach 1 stripe down the side.I don't think there was any mach 1 in 97 though,so I may remove the stripe. It does seem to go like crazy and my sister thinks it's got more power than stock, but it's my first 4.7,so I can't say for sure. It's the very rare Aztec Gold and the stripe is black. It is in mint condition, never winter driven and always stored in garage. My sister got rid of the 18" wheels and it now has the 5 spoke bottom of the line stock rims. That's one of the first things that has to go. I'm thinking 20's on 275 rear and 245 fronts and drop the car down an inch or two,a air intake system and a little more rumble out of the exhaust would be a good start.I'm on a limited budget at the moment, but aren't we all these days?Supercharger would be fun later on,love the sound they make.I'm open to any suggestions on some lower budget mods.I have no pics to post yet, will work on that.

1 of 1135 that year not to shabby, doubt it really adds much to the value, but at least there's not lots laying around. IMO 20's would be overkill but then again, i like my v6 with the 99GT rims on it, it's more then enough, would look good with a drop though. The 20's are a lot of rim and rubber to turn, stealing some HP and getting some longer stopping distances. But if you plan on modding the car a fair bit, Cobra or better brakes would help lots to stop those large rims, and some gears or a power adder to get them going would always solve that problem.

I originally was thinking 18's, but a few people were trying to talk me into 20's.I prefer a little more sidewall as well so I guess I'm still leaning towards the 18's.

Welcome to CMOC.

I think for the sn95 17's & 18's look the best but it's just a matter of opinion.....get what you like not what everyone else likes.

As for cheap mods, well there aren't too many that are cheap and will give you any real hp/tq.

I would start with a good CAI, gears & tuner.

The next stage would be long tube headers and an upgraded cat back.

You can add under drive pullies and a 75mm throttle body and upper intake plenum for a few extra hp and all of these items will give more hp if you ever go with forced induction (except the ud pullies...they will have to come off if you go with a sc'er).

If the car isn't lowered a nice set of drop springs will give the car a much better stance versus stock and will look great.

Ask lots of questions!
