Hi...

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am Mark and lived in the Toronto area for almost 18 years and while i was out there i really enjoyed my dealings with Joe Dasilva. I moved back to Alberta 5.5 years ago and just found this site. I have a 1988 Fox GT vert with 74k original kilometers on it and have owned the car since new. I am building a 359 windsor with all forged internals, h beam rods, probe srs pistons, eddie performers that have been hogged out big time with 2.06 intake valves, yella terra shaft rockers, vortech mondo igloo and 90mm accufab throttle body and a Turbonetics T76. I am planing on running a g force clutchless five speed. Cool site and glad to be a member.

Thank you for the nice and friendly welcome to the site. The only part that sucks about me buying this car at Heritage Ford in Scarborough ON, is that it seems like yesterday when i bought the car. It is amazing how the years go by. In my sig, you see me racing my baby basicly stock, lt's high flow cats and 3.73's with a 5.0 tower power shifter. In this pic i got "Sally" to run a 13.8 @ 101 in 1997. This was at the J&P Perfomance shootout at St. Thomas dragway or also known as London motorsports park. The body is mint but the poor t5 needs its third set of syncros at only 74k. Thats what you get even running a stocker 5.0 tuned to the max and running on slicks,,, oh yea never lift of the throttle Damm you Joe, why did you teach me that?
That is way to addicting and so is this video of Joes 1994 world record holding SBF Mustang. This is not a pass of that run but a pretty killer run at Toronto Motorsports Park at the 2008 cscn. Myself and and a few people plan to drive to Toronto for the 2011 event.

Sure i got pics but that drive train is not put together, all the engine parts listed are done but i still need the g force trans and parts to hook it all up. It is going to happen and it is just a matter of when. I will never forget that the first stang in the sevens was racin jacins white vert, I plan on going above and beyond. I want the sbf record. I will either get it or die trying.

Two things any of you Joe Dasilva guys might notice, the J&P Performance decals on the rear 1/4 windows and the missing right fog light. That was a done ram air and there is alot of cars in Oshawa that know my baby. I cruised into that town as i lived in Bowmanville and drived into that town with my exhaust open alot. This car had no problem kicking f body lt1 ***.
I loved being a ford guy living in the gm heartland and i was never afraid to kick ***.

Man, that babies really haulin' the mail, 6.69 second run, wow, awesome to watch. DaSilva Racing is a pretty big name here in Southern Ontario, I think he was on that show they did on Speed Channel for the new Mustang (there was a youtube link to that)
