melted wiring

my 1966 mustang died on me and there was smoke coming from under the dash. I managed to disconnect my battery cables, for the life of me I don't know why I had a half inch wrench in my pocket but it saved the car. due to a screwed up back I can't twist myself to get under the dash but I do know that it is a green wire with a red stripe that is melted. Does any one know where that wire goes?

Look like it runs to your stoplight switch.

Crazy luck man - who would have thought carrying a half inch wrench in your pocket would pay off!! Glad things didn't get worse with a fire.
