The hood scoop was part of the GT appearance package in 2008 I believe.

Welcome. My 2013 GT is a dd as well, I guess maybe I'm a little harder on the pedal or the 4.6 is better on fuel economy but I'm at between 14 and 15 per 100. I don't really care about fuel economy tho or I would have bought something different, but thats what my electronics tell me.
