New member from the Creston Valley

Hi all,

I have a 1988 5.0 Foxbody with some minor mods.. new world class T-5, BBK unequal length shortys, off road h-pipe, Flow master 40's, short shift, racing clutch, Eibach lowered spring package, 3:55 posi, BBK cold air intake.. and more to come.

I was wondering if any of you could tell me what the highest octane I could run would be.. I have access to 100 octane..would that hurt anything to run it ?

Thanks,

Stang1988

Welcome aboard. I don't think 100 octane would hurt anything but it would be way overkill for your mods. You could probably advance your timing and run 91 safely.

Welcome aboard! Overkill on that high of a octane. Stick with 91 like mentioned above.

Welcome to CMOC. ^^^ x 3. Unless you have the mods and a tune to go with them supporting 100 Octane I'd steer clear.

Thanks for your input, gentlemen..

My reason for this question is I live onsite at a small regional airport as the Operations Manager and some people run AVGAS @ 100 octane in their snowmobiles..either 50% or full on 100%. I certainly would not want to cause any damage to my engine.. pics to follow..
