that's great, thanks. I don't think I will be able to make it to all of them, unfortunately, but Wednesday and Friday should be good so I'll be at one of them and maybe both. are the pics on your profile recent?

edit: I've just realized the pics were added about a week ago lol. if I see your car, I'll make sure to say hi.

So I hear you were at AMP on Monday, how did you like the lapping?

The Bullitt is down for the moment. The rad fan busted on Saturday in Digby, so we unplugged it and finished our runs with no trouble on Saturday. On SundayAM my son did his last run, shut the car off and it promptly spewed much coolant on the ground via the safety cap so that was the end of it's day. I did my runs in a friends borrowed Neon and had a blast anyway. My son came 3rd and me 6th on Saturday (26 entries), and he came 2nd on Sunday. Both days the best time was a well prepped '03 Cobra.

are you referring to me? I wasn't at AMP. I know there's at least another BOSS in Halifax so if you heard there was a Boss, it could have been that one.

that's great! what car had 1st on Sunday? I went to AMP a few times with the local BMW club in my last car - a Cobalt SS turbo with a couple of power and suspension mods - and it was huge fun, even on performance all season tires. I can't wait to see how much better the BOSS is going to be.

Funny, I asked if there was a white Boss there and the person said yes, so I assumed it was you! Is there another white one around or was he mistaken?

The same '03 Cobra took fastest time both days. It is putting down about 450hp and he had it lowered so much he didn't know if he would make it up the road to the airport! He changed his springs at the end of the day Sunday to get a bit more height for the drive home. This guy is an excellent driver, having competed in several areas in the US and Canada and has also instructed at several high speed driving schools in the past. The funny thing is the first 3 sedans both days were a Cobra (450hp), my Bullitt (242 WHP) and a civic (90hp). The Civic is a very well prepped car and the driver also. Day 1 was 2.7 seconds between 1 and 2 and Day 2 only 0.5s difference.

Welcome Carter! The suggestions you get back for improvements will depend a great deal on what you want to do with the car, i.e. daily driver, or track toy. Do you want to improve power, handling or both?

Read some of the posts above if you are interested in solo events or lapping at the track!
